Welcome!! I’m Olivia; mom of 1 little cowgirl and 4 fur babies – wife to Jordan – Realtor – homebody – and life organizer (i.e over-planner). We live in a tiny little town in Northwest GA, about an hour outside of Atlanta. And when I say tiny, I mean we don’t even have a single traffic light and the roundabout they put in by our school caused quite a fuss. Things get pretty wild around here, y’all.
My family and I are currently making our home in a small 3/2 ranch style house that’s about as cookie cutter as it gets! We have big plans for our future “forever home” once we find the right piece of land but that’s proven a little trickier than anticipated. Until then, we’re here just doing the best with what we’ve got, trying to make a big impact on a tiny budget.
Since day one of moving into our house, I’ve been determined to make the best of what space we have. I’m constantly searching for new creative solutions to make it feel more like home. This actually brings me to the whole reason I started this blog – I truly believe that everyone should be able to find joy in being in their own home; no matter if that’s a rental, your first home, or even just a bedroom space that you get to call your own. When you walk through the door after a long day you should feel a sense of calm and contentment as soon as you step inside. I want you to have this. I want to help you create the space of your dreams even if you don’t have a huge budget or a lot of space to work with.
Start with what you have, where you are, and slowly things will begin to fall into place. Trust me!
On this blog you’ll find home decor inspo, easy budget friendly projects to tackle in your space, and the occasional lifestyle post. If you’re looking for some inspiration in your own home and life, I want to help!
As much as I wish I could be making our home in a 1930’s bungalow or the perfect old (or new) farmhouse that’s chock full of character (complete with dreamy greenhouse in the backyard) I’m not there yet! And let me just tell you, THAT’S OKAY! My perfect home would probably be somewhere in between those two but I think you get the idea.
That being said, however, I’m slowly learning to love the season I’m in. With a few tweaks and a little TLC our house is slowly becoming a little better suited to our family’s needs and feeling more and more like our home. Future plans for this place include making it an investment property for rental income so everything we do has that endgame in mind. Which basically just means, we are working on a serious budget for any changes to be made.
I’m hoping you’ll find inspiration and community here and that I can inspire you to make your home just a little more yours – one small project at a time. Thank you so much for visiting and if you wanna chat, come visit me on my contact page!
