Young Adult Gift Guide

This year has been a year of clarity for me. I’ve realized so many things about myself and my wants and needs have changed dramatically. With this in mind, I’ve created a short list of things I find invaluable in my everyday life and I believe all young adults should have in their lives as well. I’ve separated the items into 2 categories – “Under $50” and “Over $50” to simplify things. I hope you find the guide helpful for those hard to buy “Youths” (in the words of Schmidt from New Girl). Happy shopping!

Gifts Under $50

+ An Audible membership (HERE)

You can pick how long of a subscription you’d like to gift so the price varies on this one but y’all, this is simply a must have for anyone who spends a significant amount of time on their commute or anyone who wants to read more books but struggles to find the time. Audible is gold and such a time saver! I even dismissed it and didn’t want to like for the longest time because I LOVE my paper books. I do still prefer paper but honestly, sometimes you just don’t have the time! Insert: Audible. I finished the book below in less than a week because I listened to it during the time I was spending in my car anyway. It’s multitasking in the best way!

+ Girl Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis (HERE)

This has fast become one of my favorites! I personally have the audio book (Audible!) and constantly find myself turning it on anytime I’m in the car and know I’m in for a long drive  or need to get motivated for something. The perfect gift for any young lady who’s working on building her confidence in the world or building her dreams and in need of a little extra pep talk.

+ This Simple Modern Insulated Cup (Here)

Because staying hydrated is at or very near the top of every person’s self care checklist. It’s practical and thoughtful, everybody needs one!

+ A Weekender Duffel Bag (Here)

This duffel bag is awesome! Incredibly lightweight and folds up to an unbelievably tiny size. Perfect for someone on the go or who might be subject to travel at the last minute. Can be used as a carry-on for flights as well and comes in several colors!

+ Scrunchies

For the ladies with long hair, these are both inexpensive and always appreciated. You can never have too many scrunchies and these velvet ones are also stylish! (They’re on my wish list this year too!)

+ Blue Light Blocking Glasses

I have 2 pair of these glasses and have friends who have them as well, we all love them! Perfect for anyone who spends a lot of time on computers or their phone (who doesn’t spend copious amounts of time in front of a screen these days?) These glasses help to block the blue light emitted from the computer and phone screens that can can cause serious damage to your retinas. They really help me with eye strain on long days working in front of my laptop.

Gifts Over $50

+ Bose Speaker

I own an earlier version of this speaker and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great quality Bluetooth speaker. We’re pretty rough on our electronics and mine’s going on 5 years old now so they’re very durable! Great sound quality too for every different genre of music. I’ll be buying another when mine finally dies.

+ The Perfect Day Planner

I have personally used one version or another of this planner since my senior year in high school and 10 years later, I’m still in love with it. As a type A somewhat planner obsessed individual, that is truly saying a lot. If there’s one thing I know for sure about any of the young adults in your life it’s this: LIFE IS BUSY. This lovely day planner is the answer to all of their organizational and scheduling woes.

+ Single Brew Keurig Mini (Found Here)

Know someone who’s trying to stop buying $5 cups of coffee every morning? This was made for them and they will love you for it. Just trust me on this one! Plus it’s compact size means they can easily find a spot for it, no matter their living situation (i.e. roommate with shared space, apartment with mini kitchen, tiny house, whatever your jam is, this thing will fit.)

+ Apple Watch (HERE)

My husband gifted me this watch for Christmas last year and I can never go back. I don’t got anywhere without it. I use it constantly as an extra tool in both my business (I’m a Realtor if you’re new here) and in my personal life. I schedule appointments, add things to my calendar, set reminders, set a timer for my kid to play on the iPad or for my use of the Pomodoro technique when I’m working. This is what I use for my daily alarm and basically just helps me stay organized in my life. Seriously, this is a MUST HAVE!

+ A Classic Pair of Rayban’s

These sunglasses are a perfect staple no matter who you’re buying for. These will work if you wear a suit and tie to work every day or if you have a day job as a surf instructor. Honestly, these amazing chameleon sunglasses seem to  work on every face shape  and with every outfit. They also come in 20+ styles and colors available on Amazon.

That’s all for now! Be on the lookout for my Homebody gift guide next week! If you found this guide helpful or have anything to add, let me know! I love hearing from y’all!

Until next time,
